Cooking steps 

Step 1: Prepare the ingredients

  • Wash the beef then drain excess water with a towel. Cut it into slices about 0.5 – 1cm thick. 
  • Marinate the beef with salt, pepper, and cooking oil. Let it rest for about 15 minutes to make the beef more tender. 
  • Rinse the herbs, then let them dry and mince well.

Step 2: Cook the steak

  • Heat the pan, add a little butter, and let it melt. Once the pan is smoky, put the steak in. Sear the meat for about 2 minutes each side. You can adjust the time based on your preference but do NOT flip the meat too many times.
  • After the meat is medium, add lemon juice, red wine, and some herbs in. Coat the steak thoroughly with the sauce, let the wine reduce, taste and season it to your liking.
  • Place the steak on a plate and garnish with some sprinkled fresh herbs. You can now enjoy a fancy, steamy, and tender beef steak. 

Note: Grill some garlic, asparagus, and make mashed potatoes with gravy for the side dishes. Prepare some wine as well for these wesetern dishes.

Spaghetti & Meatballs – Western Dishes

Cooking steps

Step 1: Prepare the ingredients.

  • Clean the pork, mince well, marinate it with salt, pepper, sugar, and let it rest for 15 minutes. 
  • Wash and dice the tomatoes.
  • Rinse and mince the basil

Step 2: Cook the spaghetti

  • Boil the water and add the pasta in the clockwise order. 
  • Once the pasta is cooked, soak them into cool water to keep the pasta chewy. 
  • Next, heat the pan, add some cooking oil, and minced shallots in. Fry them until caramelized. 
  • Add the minced pork in, stir slightly and then add the diced tomatoes.
  • Season to taste, let it simmer and turn off the heat.
  • Take the pasta out, drain the water, and plate the spaghetti. Pour the tomato and meat sauce on top, garnish with some sprinkled basil. The dish is now ready to serve.

Vegetables Salad – Western Dishes

Step 1: Prepare the ingredients.

  • Clean the lettuces, get rid of the old leaves, and wash them with saltwater.
  • Dry and chop them into bite-sized pieces. 
  • Wash the baby tomatoes and slide into halves.
  • Peel the cucumber and slice it into thin slices.
  • Wash the coriander and chop them into small pieces.

Step 2: Make the salad

  • Make the dressing: add salt, vinegar dressing, mayonnaise, sesame oil, sugar, black pepper, water into a bowl and mix well,
  • Add the lettuces, baby tomatoes, and cucumber slices into a big bowl, then pour the dressing on top and mix them all together.
  • Let them absorb the sauce for about 10 minutes. After that, put some salad in a smaller bowl, sprinkle the coriander, and serve it fresh.
